Only a Day in Tokyo?
Posted by trikket under Travel
It’s hard to get a real taste of Tokyo in just one day. Especially if you want to get a real feel for the culture and history. However, for those that may be only staying in Tokyo accommodation for one or two nights because they are on a stop over, business trip or whatever, I have put together an itinerary for a day of sightseeing that would give a decent sample of what Tokyo has to offer.
The following could be done in any order, but if it was me, I’d do it in the order given.
- Imperial Palace
- Ginza – Sony building, cafes and bakeries, Kabuki
- Asakusa – lunch, Senso-ji Temple.
- Harajuku – Meiji shrine, youth culture.
- Shibuya & / or Shinjuku – Modern Tokyo, nightlife.
No time to organize your own day of sightseeing? Book a Tokyo day tour online.
