I spent about a year living and working in Melbourne and loved it – it really is a worthwhile place to visit and a great place to live. Melbourne restaurants and shopping opportunities are world class and the constant vibe of art and culture as you wander the city is a treat.

One particular experience however that stands out as a highlight is Melbourne’s love of sport and the MCG experience. Sitting in the stands of this “colloseum-esque” stadium, listening to the roar of the crowd and watching elite sports people in action, is an unforgettable experience. Even if you aren’t an Australian Rules Football fan or cricket fan (a one-day game at the “G” is a must-see) a visit to the Melbourne cricket ground is a must.
